Privacy and data use
PlateRoute Privacy Policy
This policy explains how PlateRoute, operated by Instant Tech Solution, handles personal and business information when people use the platform or apply as a vendor.
1. Information we collect
We collect information needed to operate PlateRoute. This may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, location selection or optional GPS coordinates, login details, menu information, food images, order details, and support messages.
When a customer places an order, the relevant vendor receives the customer details necessary to prepare, deliver, and support that order. Payment card details are handled by Paystack's payment service and are not stored as full card numbers in PlateRoute.
2. How we use information
- To review vendor applications, create accounts, and operate the marketplace.
- To process and communicate about orders, payments, service fees, refunds, and support.
- To show businesses and food to customers, including sorting nearby businesses when location permission is used.
- To protect accounts, investigate fraud or abuse, maintain system security, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve PlateRoute, while respecting applicable data-protection requirements.
We process information where it is needed to provide the service, where you give consent, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests such as security, or where law requires it.
4. Location and security
Location access is optional. The platform asks for it only after a person chooses a location feature. Vendors can use it to record a business position; customers can use it to sort nearby businesses. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the service, manage records, resolve disputes, protect the platform, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymise it where appropriate.
6. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, object to, receive a copy of, or request deletion of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Some information may need to be kept where law, security, or a live transaction requires it.
People in Nigeria may also have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and may raise a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
7. Contact and updates
For a privacy request or question, contact Instant Tech Solution at aliyuabdulrahman287@gmail.com. Please include enough information for us to identify your account or request safely.
We may update this policy as PlateRoute grows or as legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always appear on this page.
